Supporting FF

Several hundred volunteers help plan and deliver Firm Foundations each year. There are many ways you get involved and lend your support to the festival; whether its over the weekend as part of the site team, planning before the festival starts or supporting the event by becoming a Friend of Firm Foundations they are all equally important and ensure that everyone can get the best out of the weekend

Giving up your time over the weekend will give you the chance to meet new people and experience God in a whole new way. You will have the knowledge that your time has helped hundreds of people… guest, mums, dads, single people, families, young people, to get the most out of what Firm Foundations can offer.

If you have time to spare, a desire to help, plenty of energy and a heart to serve God, GB and BB then get in touch and get involved!

In return you’ll get

A £4 meal voucher which may be used in Oasis, towards which ever meal necessary whilst on shift, free drinks throughout the day.

What do you need to do?

Choose the team that suits you best. If you’re not sure which team you want to go on look at the job descriptions below or contact Eric Hudson or 0870 092 0174. Then click on the general application form, fill it in and send it to The Boys Brigade, Unit A2, Croft Head Business Park, Skelmanthorpe, Huddesfield, HD8 9EB. Volunteer forms need to be returned by 10th March 2007.

Volunteer Teams

Below are a list of teams that you can get involved in as a volunteer at Firm Foundations. Click the link for a job description and more information.

Important things to note:

As a volunteer your primary reason for being at Firm Foundation will be to serve on the teams. During the event you may find you have a little spare time during shifts where you will be able to join in activities or meetings. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee what free time you’ll have by being a Firm Foundations volunteer.

Serving on a team at Firm Foundations cannot be used to obtain a visa for entry into the UK.
If you apply to serve as a steward you will be asked to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau. More information on the Enhanced Disclosure system can be obtained contacting the CRB on 0870 90 90 811 or www.disclosure.gov.uk

Friends of Firm Foundations

The Friends of Firm Foundations was launched in 2005 as a way to support the work of the festival finacially. More information is available on the Friends of Firm Foundations pages.
