Prayer Circle and Prayer Requests
Even though the Firm Foundations weekend is over for now it does not mean that the effect that it has should be allowed to wear off. The prayer circle has been set up to help support each other through prayer as we head back to daily lives. If you would like to be part of the Prayer Circle please email Paul Mathers to add you email to the monthly newsletter. It would be great to build Gods power by having a network of people praying for the young people that gave their lives to God at FF2008 and the planning teams as they start to look at FF2009 - Priceless.

A Living Hope
The festival closed Monday afternoon for another year having had a weekend packed full of inspiration to head out into our communities and do our bit for the Hope 08 campaign.
The Big Top bounced with amazing worship, speakers and testimonies on all four days plus the concerts rocked with bands such as 29th Chapter, FF favourites My Spoon, Blush and yFriday sharing Gods word with their talents on the stage. V2 returned to showcase new and up and coming talent and the Academy kept the party up until the early hours with cheese and the best dance tunes.
Go, get out there and use FF2008 as the start of something big in your life!

Prayer for Firm Foundations
Firm Foundations is less than two weeks away now, we hope that plans for your journey are coming together well and you have received all the information. We ask that you pray for the weekend and remember inparticular the following:
- Everyone attending that God would prepare their hearts and minds to be challenged and encouraged in their relationship with Him.
- Those people speaking at meetings as they prepare what to say, that God would inspire and guide them in their thoughts.
- The various teams as they finalise programmes and draw together all the things they need to make their venue or activity work well.
- All the bands and other kinds of guest artists that God would us their gifts to speak into people's lives.
- Those in leadership who have to make final decisions that effect various aspects of the event.
- Technicians, contractors and teams as they set up marquees, power lines, staging, sound & lighting systems etc.
- Safety on a site hosting 1300 people as they arrive, set up tents, move around the site and leave after the event.
- Good relationships within groups, between groups, with leaders and all those running and attending the festival.
- That good relationships with the neighbours of Felden Lodge would be maintained.
- That everyone would be excited about Firm Foundations and come expecting God to change lives as a result of the festival.
- And finally that we have good weather!!!!!!

May Update
In preparation for the Festival, the Site Team has been working at Felden since Sunday afternoon. Work has been going well and preparations are currently in advance of schedule. The Site Team have been monitoring the weather forecasts and steps have been taken to ensure that the main venues are covered with matting thus ensuring they are fit for purpose. Whilst the grounds are wet, the event can be a success.
Participants are advised to consider carefully what equipment they bring including stout footwear and waterproofs. The grounds are being protected by preventing vehicles from driving over them and accordingly, and only pedestrian access will be allowed. Full information will be provided on arrival that gives details as to parking and wet weather arrangements.
The preparations are in place, the performers are booked and the staff are in place. Whilst it is wet, that is only the weather and not the atmosphere and spirit of those that make a Festival a success. We look forward to seeing you on Friday and ask that you remember those participating and the mission of the event in your prayers.
Eric Hudson (Chairman Festival Management Group)
